Door Knobs + Handles

Our home is a reflection of ourselves. Our home reflects our intentions as well as any limiting beliefs ready to be healed.

Today’s post is inspired by a conversation I had this week.

The conversation I had is a very familiar one, as I have had it with many clients already. It goes something like, “it is isn’t broken and it works just fine, why would I want to replace it?”. Is this familiar to you?

It is interesting how frequent we can overlook areas in our home where we may be “settling” for what we have instead of consciously choosing what feels good to us. This leads to the question, where are you settling in your life? The location of said settling, can provide clues as to where this is also expressed in your life. The Bagua Map (the tool used to show how our home aligns with the energy in various life areas) can help illuminate this for you. Grab your free copy of The Bagua Map HERE.

I grew up in a “frugal family”. A family that prided itself on a good deal, finding a secondhand treasure from the local thrift shop, and the savings from not having to purchase an item because it is working and fully functional.

Underneath these frugal saving “life hacks”, is a core belief… there is not enough money to get what we want and we have to sacrifice our desires. It is a belief of lack.

Have you felt this before?

There is an abundance of wealth + money. you can create a home and life that feels good to you.

Now, in the conversation I had, my friend mentioned that his family had replaced all the doorknobs in their home and proceeded to describe how good that felt!! (at this point, I am squealing with joy lol)

Here is why it feels so good to change something so small as a doorknob. Have you heard the term Return on Energy (ROE) before?

Return on Energy is the concept that there is an energetic “return” from a thought or action. Within Feng Shui, we look at making small changes in the home that create a large impact in your personal energy. A small act, similar to changing out the doorknobs, impacts and influences your energy every single day, all day, without much conscious thought about it providing a large ROE.

When we make decisions from a place of love, joy, and abundance, the results create a ripple in your day that is felt immediately but always grows with you over time.

In contrast, think about turning a doorknob that didn’t feel good to you, every single time you walked into a room… Although, small and seemingly insignificant, this discord creates a drain and leak on our personal energy. Subsequently, over time this wreaks havoc on our personal energy and vibrancy.

Personally, changing the doorknobs in our home, from original brass fixtures to a consistent clean, was one of the very first upgrade we made to our home 6 years ago. These doorknobs are a constant reminder that settling is simply not an option when creating a strong powerfully aligned life. It a decision that continues to yield positive results that is felt subconsciously and supports our family’s life.

Naturally, you may be thinking about your own doorknobs at the moment. Great!! Please do 🙂 You deserve to feel like a queen and king in your own castle.
